Metal Improvement, Inc. (MII), the sister company of SSPI, was created
to complement SSPI’s core activity of importing and distributing tool
steels. MII was created in 1974 with the primary objective of serving the
needs of its customers’ heat treatment requirements. Heat treatment
prolongs the economic life of tool steels as finished products and further
enhances their durability and workability.
Today, MII has the expertise for both heat treatment service and
fabrication jobs. As an expertise and technology-based company, MII’s
thirty-six years of experience is one of its most important competitive
advantages over other companies. Its fundamental competence and extensive
experience of the heat treatment process has been recognized in the
industry and institutions, such as the government, have asked the company
to share its expertise through training whenever they adopt certain
technologies for the heat treatment process.
MII has a complete range of heat treatment equipment which
includes a NABER Electric Furnace, DEGUSSA Salt Bath Furnace, and DEGUSSA
Air Circulating Furnace. It also has other complementing machineries and
tools, such as hardness testers, which allows it to deliver workmanship of
the highest quality for tool steels in the Philippines.
